RSS The Duct Tape of Web 2.0
On October 23rd, I had the pleasure of sitting on a panel with Donna Papacosta and Dr. Joan Vinall-Cox, speaking on the subject of blogs, RSS, wikis, social bookmarking and so forth. Here’s my end of the discussion:
So all-in-all I think the only thing I would have chosen to do differently is pull RSS out of the talk all together and focus more on ‘Markets are Conversations’, trying to drive home the point of just why that’s important. Let’s face it - the Common Craft video explains RSS much better than I could hope to.
During the talk itself, there were many questions answered mid-presentation, so at least I’m confident that everyone there has at least a base understanding of what it is and why it may be of use.
