May 18th marks the Halton Peel Communications Association’s 5th annual Showcase event. Catherine Swift, President, Chair and CEO of the Canadian Federation of Independent Business, will be providing a presentation on, “Why Size Doesn’t Matter: Building A Better Canada, One Small Business at a Time”, exploring the present state of small business in Canada and what needs to happen to foster better entrepreneurship. She’ll also highlight why there is no better time to be a small business entrepreneur, and she’ll explore some of the exciting challenges and opportunities that lie ahead for small business owners as they help to transform business practices and make Canada more competitive on the global stage.
As Canada’s leading supporter of the small business entrepreneur, Ms Swift has been a featured contributor to Global Television’s business program, Money Wise. This much sought-after national speaker and spokesperson also contributes regularly to a variety of business magazines, trade journals and other media on such issues as entrepreneurship, free trade, finance and women who run small businesses.
The event will be held in the old-world country house ambiance of the Glenerin Inn. Reception begins at 6:30 p.m.
